D300 out of the closet

its been a while, but hey... my D300 is finally put into its paces again :) and this time its my buddies wedding... oh yeah, there will be no photos this time as haven't got any permission to do so.

well, all i can say although it was much easier to shoot than the D70s, i was a lil' unhappy with the final result. some of the photos was soft (i think most of the important one), it was not as sharp as those i shot using RAW. Due to this special event and being the only photographer for this event, i was forced to switch to jpeg. shooting the first time to get the numbers and shot out from the number of CF cards i had with me. Although a total of 2000+ shots were taken for this event alone, i guess it was still compromised for the quality end.

found out several things very interesting for this was - any post processing of the photos under jpeg, will make the photos softer - furthermore all editing must be done frame by frame, meaning per photo and unlike the RAW format you'll just need to edit on photo and save the settings to all the other photos.

photos post processing for jpeg tend to soften the photos, wont be as tac sharp if it was left in RAW. Well, all i can say is i would have a VERY VERY LONG way before i would achieve the pro status of those camera men around town.

Nibble nibble, taut taut, STRIKE! Fish On!!!
