Tummy Satisfier Series 1

These series are dedicated to food reviews and locations, so my friends – if you are wondering where to makan? Maybe here are some series that may help alittle.

Restaurant name: Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh
Address: Jalan 8/39, PJ
Landmark: off Matsushita (Mecom) building, next to Indian Temple, off Motorola bridge
Lat: 3 deg 5’ 19.20”
Long: 101 deg 36’ 53.59”

Review:
If you’re looking for a comfortable air-conditioned restaurant, forget about it – this place is just freaking hot and cramp – and not forgetting the long waits if you come pass 12.20pm.This small lil’ stall of the Matsushita building serves nothing else but just Bak Kut Teh, and maybe the side serving of vegetables (if its still available by the time you arrive there).

However, if you are a Bak Kut Teh enthusiast, this place would not disappoint you. The soup is “Kheet” (as Chinese would call it) enough, strong and tasty enough to satisfy the most picky eater and plus the meaty chunks of hearty meat not forgetting the number of ingredients the chef would put into the boiling pot. This place is definitely worth recommending to any Bak Kut Teh enthusiast, weight watches please just give this place a skip. Oh, and not forgetting on the odd observation of the shop is the number of ladies there (somehow the ladies would outnumber the number of guys during meal time) – and no their not aunties, but young ladies that you would think spend most of their time and energy in fitness first and beauty saloons…
This place is also rather famous for the regular attendance of Japanese expatriates, and surprisingly the pricing of the food is still reasonable.

Pricing: ranging from RM12 to RM15 per person - quite a reasonable price if i would say so myself.
