this post is for the CG members that spent their time at the shelter home orphanage home over the weekend. We've been planning this for about 2 months or so, but nothing could have prepared all of us for what was installed.
expected:
1) children will participate and listen to the sketch...
2) well behaved young ones ever willing to please...
3) age between 3 to 8 (average about 6)
4) all the kids would be an angel and ever willing to play the game we have arranged out
actual:
1) wont call it participate (more like hostile take over)
2) erm... i think a bunch of out of control, hyper active monkeys would describe them well
3) averaged about 10
4) lets see... one kid getting her head banged against the wall, one was attempting to make a whirlwind, straws getting thrown everywhere, and cameramen almost got mugged of their equipments.....
although the decription would not fit them so well, and most say this did not do them truth... i would agree...
most of us were from background with parents who are always there to keep us in line, and ever willing to make sure we are always kept in check... and hence i think its not really fair to put younger days behaviour with them (although i think i'm not much of a different :) gave my parents hell... aahahaha... which child wouldn't? :D)
anyways, most of us went back and felt that we are indeed blessed with loving families and always assured that we have someone to go home to... as for these children... all they have are each other, their caretaker and the occational visitors that frequent the orphanage... and we wouldn't be able to put ourselves in their shoes...
so ta ta for now....
