So now that you're becoming more of an expert with your current gear, what more is there? what should you consider to upgrade? Should you upgrade your lens or camera body?
Here's what most "experts" will tell you what to do next.... Upgrade their Lens. Do good lens makes a difference? the answer is a big resounding YES!
1) Good glass are tac sharp (the word tac coincidentally is taken in reference to the tac's used when u pin up something on the boards when u were back in school. some how Pin sharp doesn't sound right)
2) Fast glass (aperture around 1.2 to 2.8), enable you to shoot in lower lighting areas with faster shutter speeds.
3) Robustly built, more accurate and faster focusing.
4) depending on what you want to shoot, upgrading enables you to shoot macro/ super far objects (birds) / etc... that your kit lens would not be able to do.
Its not that you should never upgrade your camera body, but IF you have budget for only either a good lens or a good body, a lens upgrade will still benefit you by a mile. Unless you've already a set of good glass, enough for your shooting environment, then by all means a camera body would make sense.
Nibble nibble, taut taut, STRIKE! Fish On!!
